I happened to see Beneras for the first time in a Feluda’s film. I developed a strong fascination to visit the place sence then but unfortunately I did not get a chance to be there. It surely must have been God’s grase that I suddenly got a chance to visit Beneras in the month of January in 2016. I had heard that Beneras is popular for its ghats.
We went to Benaras by Dun express. We were very excited to visit those ghats since the time we had reached our hotel. At last in the evening we could visit those ghats. Our group had eleven members.
It was unique experience. The ghats were totally different from that of Haridwarghats. The boats were arranged in a series in the Ghats. We travelled for 3 hours by boat. We hired a boat from this ghat.
“Boat ride across the ghats of Varanasi is memorable..”
This is the famous ghats of Beneras. I would fervently recommend those who wish to visit the place to book a hotel near these ghats.
Then we started our journey by boat. We made sure that our journey started at the time of unset or sunrise. The boatman narrated a broad history of ghats during boat rowing. Lot of ghats can be discovered in this place. Some are very old.
They look separate from one another to see living history by watching the ghats from a slow rowing boat. Ancient history is connected to Benaras it was like living the history once again enjoyed fresh air and flow of Ganga water.
During the travel we saw some burning ghats some ghats are really very old. After some time We saw sunset.
It was just awesome. We all were watching for the dusk to witness the subjugation in the ghats twice before I had been 2 times to Haridwar. But in my experience the dusk subjugation is must better in Benaras than Haridwar. Is hour-long subjugation.
At the time of subjugation the boats were connected with each other and the sight was truly marvellous. It seems that the fair had been a boat fair really it’s a divine experience. It is advised to get a guide who cans explain the history of Beneras and the ceremonies associated with the city.
Day 3:-
Kashi Biswanath one of the beat temple of India. Many people came here from many places in India for the worship. Worship at the temple in the morning is the best time. The subjugation (morning arti) is very beautiful and peaceful. Beware of monkeys in this temple. Kashi Biswanath temple also called golden temple like Amritsar golden temple. This is one of the 12 joytir lingas in India and such a divine and spiritual place. The photography are prohibited so please avoid your camera and mobile phones.
