AMARKANTAK HILL:-
The king of pilgrimage:The first thing come in mind while reaming Amarkanta is famous temple “NARMADA UDGAN AND KUND” which is situated in Madhya Pradesh.
In 2010, in winter we had visited that place and that time the weather of that place was nice and we had 12 members in our group.
It was basically a short trip for 3 days and in winter it is good destination for winter trip.
NARMADA TEMPLE:-
River Narmada begins this journey from here it spreads widely in Bhedaghat and going to Gujrat. A small kund or pond marks this holy place and it was surrounded by many temples. It is a very huge place, well maintained and clean. Saktipith is the main temple of that place and some temples weren’t renovated at that time so the old and new architecture of temples created a different combination.
In this temple every day in evening aarti (warship to god) held at 7 pm. Though we missed that aarti but I suggest that do not miss that aarti.
KAPILDHARA FALLS:-
Here this is biggest falls. From the main entrance one has to cover some distance to reaches that place. Both the side of the road there were many stalls. For the best view of this waterfalls one can go below this place via taking forest way. It was a wonderful experience if one goes down the waterfall.
KAPILDHARA ART EMPROIUM:-
Beside this falls this art emporium is situated. Here you can buy different types of handloom work, arts, and craft.
DUDH DHARA FALLS:-
This falls is situated to some distance away from Kapil Dhara falls. This falls not very large but this is a nice place.
KABIR CHABUTRA:-
This place of Amarkantak id important for its spirituality. Saint kabir blessed that place. A small temple of saint Kabir is situated in that place. Local people are used to saying that the water and the milk were mixing each other from some unknown source. This temple is 4 km away from Narmada Temple. If you visit that place you have to trekking some distance to reach that place. But the surrounding of that place is beautiful.
SHRI YANTRA MANDIR:-
When we had visited this place the construction of this temple was under processing. The design and the infrastructure of this temple are marvellous. It is one of the places for the researchers and archaeologist because this type of temple is so rare in India. This temple is based on Yantra Shastra, though the tourists are not allowing in the main temple. All over small winter trip was good so visit Amarkantak.
