Rajabhatkhawa is approachable by both road and rail from Siliguri nearly 155 kilometers and Alipurduar only 15 kilometers. its nearly 15 kilometers from Jayanti. Surrounded by dense forests is an ideal place for the wild life lovers. The main attraction of this place is “Rajabhatkhawa museum”
The museum based on animals and jungles.There is a Orchidorium and leopard rescue center with a museum.During our trip to Jaldapara( Dec,2012) we visited Rajabhatkhawa museum.Its like a jungle Musuem based on wild life..There are different body parts of lepard,tiger,elephant.

Jungle Calling :-
The nearest sightseeing destination is the famous Buxa Tiger Reserve, which is famous for its ruined Fort, wild elephants, leopards,bisons and a host of wild animals.According to this museum last tiger was in jungle in the year 1960. All required entry permits to this Buxa Tiger Reserve are issued from Rajabhatkhawa Nature Interpretation Centre.
Though in the duars jungle lepard is still there.There are many drawings of
lepard.It is said a king was eating rice at the time of war so the name of this place is rajabhatkhawa.
The ANIMAL RESCUE CENTRE of RAJABHATKHAWA is another popular tourist attraction of this place. The ANIMAL RESCUE CENTRE is where the injured leopards and tigers are treated till they are normal before they are released back in the forests. Here visitors may watch TIGER, LEOPARD, BISON and some other animals. This is also a good place to know the wilds behavior.
So many shades of nature can be spotted during Autumn. Although the winter bug has already bitten the city of joy, yet there are few more weeks left for Autumn to bid farewell for this year..
Nice place for wild life..The weather is so good at the time of our tour we enjoyed lot.Best time to visit Rajabhatkawa with family is December.
