The tranquil beach of West Bengal- BAKKHALI

Bakkhali is the one of the favourite places for trip in West Bengal. We went to this place in 2001 and I liked that place very much. Our journey started in January from Esplanade. We went by bus from Esplanade to Namkhana then we crossed the river and then took another bus for Bakkhali. This was 2 night 3 days tour. We were a hotel that was interior from Bakkhali sea beach. The hotel name is Bay view.

Bakkhali’s sea side was clean at that time and an old ship was anchored on the beach, the overall view and the ambience were really very peaceful. Sunset in the beach always creates beautiful ambience. Now Bakkhali is one of the sea beaches where watching sunset is a treat for the tourist.

CROCODILE PROJECT :-
Bakkhali had a crocodile project, we also saw that place. In 2001 Bakkhali was a lonely sea beach.
JAMMU ISLAND
In 2001 the Jammu Island was one of the Islands for sight scene. Its takes 3 to 4 hours to reach the Jammu Island from Bakkhali via launch. Due to less water launch had been stopped.

PLACES WORTH VISITING AT JAMMUDIP :-
You can see a huge number of country fishing boats of various sizes are banked on the narrow creek that meets the mighty the Bay of Bengal.

We travelled up to 1 km under Jammudip. The place is based on the fisheries management. But the most attractive creature in that place is red crab, I loved those crabs. The whole beach is filled with red crabs, that scene very beautiful. Different types of pisciculture are done in Jammudip.

Albeit, in 2017 the agriculture did not do here compared to the previous year. Now a days Fezarganj and Henry Island are very famous places in Bakkhali for sight scene.

“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
