The Sela Pass (more appropriately called Se La, as La means Pass) is the high-altitude mountain pass located in Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh state of India. It has an elevation of 4170 m (13,700 ft) connects the Buddhist city of Tawang Town to Tezpur and Guwahati and is the main road connecting Tawang with the rest of India.

After reading the introduction you have already guessed that this is a chilly place.

Its freezing. We found this place on our way to Tawang from Bomdilla. An army base is also located nearby. Tourists who come here don’t hang around for than 5 mins as it is so cold and remote.But we stayed here for 21 hrs!. Though it’s the worst experience of our tour but it’s too thrilling. Staying for 21 hours in minus temperature disconnected from outside world.
